What Is The Deal With All The Various Types of Bathing Salts Out There?

Okay, so I’ve been doing tons of research into the healing properties of various salts in the bath, and I’d love to share my knowledge. This isn’t super long, but should get you at least a basic idea why particular salts are used for bathing and which ones to use for your own creations.

What is Dead Sea Salt?

Image: Coarse Ground Dead Sea Salt

This salt is sourced from none other than the Dead Sea in Israel. Salts from this lake are very high in naturally occurring minerals that are fantastic for skin care! Dead Sea salt is said to have upwards of 20 different trace minerals and has been used for millennia for its healing benefits. The magnesium chloride and sulfur salt content helps re-hydrate your skin and rebuild your skin’s natural barrier against drying elements like sun exposure and the cold. As part of a bath soak, the minerals of the Dead Sea work together to rebuild and protect your skin!

What is Himalayan Pink Salt?

Himalayan pink salt is a salt found deep in the Himalayan mountains of Asia known for its pink color. This color comes from the increased level of iron and is also well known for its high levels of beneficial minerals AND as a very useful bath soak.
This is said to be one of the purest forms of salt today, having been mined from oceans deep in the mountains and containing 80+ different minerals naturally occurring. This means that this salt is much more effective than regular table salt and that these minerals will help the salt regulate and detoxify the skin easily.
Here’s a wonderful recipe you can adjust to your own personal preference. Makes 5 ounces of skin soothing bath salt.

Ingredients:

2.5 ounces of Pink Himalayan Salt
2.5 ounces of Dead Sea Salt
1 tablespoon coconut oil
10–20 drops essential oils such as lavender, frankincense, etc

Instructions:

Mix all ingredients well. Pour into glass container and use as much or little as you want. Can be modified or increased to your specific preference.
I hope you are able to enjoy your bath soak! Your skin will thank you.

Happy New Year! What I love about the first days of the New Year and Some Things I'll do differently.

Life is moving right along! It hasn't been the absolute best year of my life, but definitely nowhere near the worst I've ever been! There are good things and bad things that have happened, but I am choosing to focus on only the good for this review. As I've been working on this post during my days at work and when I'm out of work, it's been a little frustrating to get a clear and concrete thought process going. It can be difficult to get coherent thoughts out on paper when you're exhausted from

Goals and Plans for the New Year (Not resolutions, just plans)

So, as I've said before, I don't plan on making specific New Years resolutions because I don't want to focus on them as a way to be productive, but I do have some specific goals to accomplish because I'm tired of feeling useless and unproductive. As you may know, I've had a store that I've been working on and off on and the blog of course, but I want to build a set plan to get my goals accomplished, especially as we have lots of plans in both our professional and personal life. I'm not going to get into those just yet, as they're very much in the planning stages, but here's a few of the things I feel are important to get a feel for and to start working intensely towards. We don't always have all the time in the world, so getting started now for things you want to do and get done is a very good idea.

Fantastic Finds Boutique is my project and my way to (hopefully) get out of the daily grind of working for a paycheck. I've been working off and on with creating beautiful items that help fix problems one might run into in a beautiful way. As of now I want to begin working on gift ideas that aren't the traditional type of gifts, such as wine lovers baskets, welcome home baskets, first day in your new place baskets, and fancy stone charm bracelets. No two of my hand crafted jewelry items will be the same, and I've been hard at work creating and fashioning beautiful bracelets with unique charms and color combinations. Here's two of my favorite bracelets so far:

I absolutely love these because the colors pop and the charms are just beautiful. I love the amazonite and amethyst combination in the first one and the color interplay with the light blue and grey stone of the second. These most likely will continue to be my favorites of what I've created so far.

Another project I've been working is my handcrafted leather cord necklaces as well. I've hand assembled these and personally picked out all the charms to ensure these are unique and individualized representations of love. I have a few different types already created with more on the way. Heres a few pictures of these works of art:
I absolutely love the charms and they way they look when they're worn and I hope you love them too! Remember, we're reopening on January 25 of this year...

Okay, enough about my store, as there's more that I plan on getting accomplished than just this store. As I've been a member of Young Living for a while, I want to get started learning even more than I knew before about the benefits of Young Living as well as inspiring others to learn how to help take charge of their health and wellness themselves. I love the products and how they help with issues I face on a daily basis.

It's also important to me to continue learning more and investing into the cryptocurrency and regular stock and mutual fund markets. I want to increase my knowledge and holdings into something I can be proud of instead of just a couple dollars here and there, as that will help, but not grow into anything ridiculously large or help me overcome financial difficulties. I have big plans, but am hampered by a lot, including not having a vehicle or the way to earn more income. It is very frustrating!

Another big goal is reaching higher pageviews per month on average than I have had this past year. It's been a very rough year, so I'm happy with what I've accomplished on this blog so far, but I know I'm capable of so much more. There's so much I still need to learn including how to use and create more graphic content for this and other areas! I've done okay with what I've learned so far but I want to do so much more.

As this is kinda long, I want to mention one more area that I want to focus on this year. I want to build up my writing and content marketing products. It's important to me to create value, and building better advertising packages and writing assistance products will help me get to where I want to be. Helping others turn their rough ideas into beautiful works of written art is very important to me.

So, be ready for lots of changes this upcoming year. I'm so excited to share what I'm accomplishing with you and to walk with you in your own transformations! Thank you for reading so far and I'd love to help you out!
