Learn how to accept your fear

This is a list of countries where my blog has been. I don't know if all are actual views by actual people, but even if I've reached people on half this list, I feel somewhat successful. I have found that during the middle of the month, I tend to start becoming down and sad and unmotivated. This picture is one of the ways I try to encourage myself to continue trying and working hard. This won't be a long post, but a catch up and encouragement post to continue working even though you feel down about whether or not you'll ever do what you want to do. Fear can be crippling. I suffer from the fear I'm going to fail every single day. You can't let it overwhelm your drive to succeed.

Working through fear and accepting the feelings of fear that you're going to drown and never make it is really depressing at times, but necessary for you. Accepting your fear as valid will help you work through it and move past. You're going to make it. Don't think that because you're afraid it won't happen. Fear can move us further than complacency. Keep that in mind.

This is not a long post, just an encouragement to you and to myself that you can indeed succeed through your fear and move on! I encourage you to try it!

Real Talk, Why I want to help encourage you and how I made it through extreme poverty

This is a "don't give up" post.
Don't wait to accomplish your dreams... We won't always have tomorrow. Build on your legacy today and leave your loved ones something to remember you by. Make that phone call, set up a business, take charge and don't leave your success to chance.

I'm available to encourage you and inspire you to complete your dreams! Book me for a week or month at a time and I will help you find solutions for problems blocking your way. I'm great at creating solutions for almost insurmountable problems. You can do literally anything you want. You've got an unlimited potential, no matter how difficult your circumstance is. I will tell you why I believe this.

I've lived in a car, at homeless shelters, motels, and have literally decided every single day if buying a jar of jelly was going to be more useful than putting that money into the gas tank so that our job (delivery driver) could still happen tomorrow (usually I ended up filling the gas tank and feeding our kids the peanut butter and bread instead). It was hard, soul crushing, difficult, but I won't trade the experience because it taught me that anything can happen that can put you in that position. I wasn't a drug user, I never did anything illegal, I kept jobs as much as I could. I didn't do anything that would have placed me into that position, but there I was. I hated the feelings of helplessness, so I started trying to control what I could to bring me into a better position. I started a blog, I started sharing the Thrive Experience, I started working online with Mechanical Turk and added any money earning app that I could find to get income of any kind into my account. I've walked my kids to school almost every day after our car flooded during Hurricane Harvey. Thankfully I have parents that have helped immensely and I'm grateful every day for them (Thank you mom! I know you read this, so I'm publicly thanking you so everyone else knows how much I am appreciative of you and what you've done to help us out).

This is why I started this blog, why I spend hours a day researching and writing. I don't want anyone who is struggling to feel that they have no way out. Maybe you don't today, but you gotta keep working, keep struggling, keep putting the money in the gas tank and making it to work every day. Don't give up on your through them with a "what's this going to teach me" mindset. You CAN do it!

Don't look down on people who are homeless. They're people just like you who lost their car through something they couldn't control, then their job, and then their house. Trust me, nobody wants to end up living in a motel or on the street with nowhere to go! It has taken more than a year to get used to the stability of a place to live and regular income coming in. This feeling of "what's gonna happen if the bottom drops out again" is hard to live with and with lots of help, it's subsiding slowly. I'm so happy I am not destitute anymore. I have things to say and options for those who are struggling and it makes me so happy to be able to use what I learned to help build others up. Let me do the same for you!

What is cryptocurrency? What is a Bitcoin? A Litecoin? Well, I believe that this topic has the potential to create a lot of wealth. Here you will find

Extra Ways to Save Money and Environmental Impact

As I have mentioned before, one of my most deeply held passions is reducing my environmental impact! We can do only so much as individuals. We can cut down on the waste we throw away, burn our paper waste and wood in our fireplaces to heat up our house instead of throwing it away and running our heater, we can build or replace furniture at a thrift store or by buying from a friend who no longer needs theirs. So many little things can be done to cut what we use and throw away.Cutting down waste is huge because it directly impacts the environment in a positive way. I really want to inspire you to continue to reduce your use of our precious resources in any way possible.

This post will give you five concrete ways to reuse or redefine your opinion on whether or not to just buy new or give something another go and save that space in a landfill

Using Left-overs to Create More

Saving money/space can be as simple as using your old veggie scraps to make a compost pile and then growing your food in soils and compost. Most vegetables you buy can be actually replanted and the growth used again. You can take green onions, garlic, those old nasty potatoes you forgot about, or even carrot ends can be rerooted and grown again. Plus, if you save the peelings and extra stuff you would normally throw away, you can eat/replant and then reuse them again and again. You can also save them and donate to a compost service that will pick them up and give you credit for the compost you give. At this moment, I have sweet potatoes, purple potatoes, and regular russet potatoes growing from food I bought and didn't have time to cook. Now, from the five or so original potatoes, I have over 15 new ones growing and waiting to be harvested. You may not know this either, but you can actually grow strawberry plants from year to year and harvest for multiple years.

Saving/Earning Cash

Restaining and refinishing items of furniture can give them another life. This delays their impact to the environment and actively cuts down on production of new furniture. You can't stop it all, because unfortunately, items do become unable to be reused and must eventually be replaced. Doing your part does help, no matter how small you think it is. Another way to help is to donate clothing or even reuse them by cutting them up and resewing them into something else. I'm going to do something like this by repurposing my old towels into a bath mat and rags for housekeeping. See? Little steps eventually turn into big impacts.

Cutting Down on Transportation Waste

Gas prices are ridiculous! Take a bus, walk, or go to a pawn shop and pick up a bike and ride it to places instead of your car. You'll cut down on exhaust, get some exercise, and in many cases, cut down on repairs for your vehicle, insurance costs, and the arm and leg it sometimes costs to fill the gas tank. I understand there are many places where a car is necessary, and having lost mine last year, I totally get it. Walking miles a week is very annoying, but I just remember how much money I'm saving and gas I'm not using. Sometimes it helps...sometimes not. Also, if you're enrolled in college or university, consider taking online classes instead of driving to campus every day. This also helps you work a part time job or spend time with your family instead of constantly driving.

Buying Bulk Instead of Pre-packaged

Have you stopped to notice the ridiculous amount of packaging in even the simplest item at the grocery store? Grab a few glass jars, go to the bulk section, and then just fill them and pay for the amount you use...boom! Much less cardboard and plastic, and you have exactly what you need! Simple, easy, and if you bring reusable bags to the store, there goes the extra plastic you would have used! Simple, effective, and you can literally see the impact right there!

Household Energy Saving Tips

Don't run your air conditioner 24-7. Set the temp at 78 or so (if you can manage, lower if you just can't handle the heat) so that the air doesn't run constantly. This cuts down on electrical costs, uses less freon, and if you just go swimming or go out during the day so that you don't have to keep the air conditioner on as much. A study was done somewhere that determined that simply keeping the air conditioner on at a constant temperature was more cost effective than turning it on and off during the day. Another way you can get a little more use out of your stuff is adding a tiny bit of water to your cleaning supplies so they last longer. When you finish off your laundry soap, make sure you add water to the empty bottle and use the rest of the soap that has dried on the inside of the bottle instead of wasting that bit of soap.

Misc Money Saving Bits of Advice

Are there options for you to ride share? This will help too...since you're sharing a ride, gas used transports more than just one person and costs are shared between more than one person. You can also work on ways to take on jobs from home. I understand it's really hard often to find a job and keep it, so even one or two jobs a week you can do at home can be very helpful. Don't forget the online programs that let you work towards a certificate that proves you have learned valid material. There really are so many ways to learn that don't cost a lot. At the moment, I'm learning Hebrew, so in order to not spend tons of money on language learning apps/programs, I'm taking advantage of Youtube videos, online free resources, and more to learn what I can and then when I can afford software, I'll be better prepared than if I just waited. Never discount the power of watching movies in the language you're trying to learn. I found this out years ago and it's been very helpful!

To Conclude

Real lasting change can only come if we all make a concerted effort to change ourselves. You must decide to want to change and lower your dependence on things to make you happy. Only you must personally decide to make the change. It's not something someone else can make you do. I would encourage you to make the jump; the results just might shock you! Feel free to comment on ways you've found to save money! I would love to hear what you have to say!

Compilation of helpful random advice

This is just a collection of various tips I've found to be important or useful to me in the past and now. Try some of them out if you'd like. I would love to hear what you think.

Be authentic, share the real you to the world. The world needs more people willing to stand up for what they believe in. Don't hide behind what you think is what people want. Real people hunt for true and honest people, who don't fear being disliked for who they are. We all must strive to be ourselves, and hunt for our "tribe". There really are people who will love you for who you are.

Twitter, if you're following someone that's just really annoying, but don't want to lose your reach, it's possible to simply mute them and keep them on your list. Go to the person's tweet, select it, and select "mute". This will remove them from your feed but not your list so you don't have to worry about them getting offended you stopped following them.

If you're low on funds and need firewood to heat your home, just go on a walk and pick up sticks that are laying on the ground that will be picked up and thrown away anyway. Also, your mailbox is usually always packed with junk mail right? Take that mail you don't need, (and any sensitive mail you don't want to keep) and roll it up and use as a fire starter. Free way to get a fire started and you're not impacting landfills anymore!

Composting services! Many companies give you the ability to save your organic trash matter and then get it picked up and sent to an industrial sized composting facility in exchange for credit towards your own compost. This can be an effective way to cut your waste down to smaller amounts and be a part of a glorious industry focused on saving and reusing waste to create healthier plants and more nutrition into soils that can be pretty depleted in nutrients.

Before you decide to change your internet password or cut off the wifi, make sure you have at least one phone that has internet connection outside of your wifi so that you can keep your access to the network if there are problems getting back connected. Also, it's probably a very good idea to not disable all your devices before you cut off the internet to begin with. This came from personal experience.

If you're looking for ways to promote your blog or whatever, don't ignore the reach that Twitter has. Especially if you start off with tons of followers from a personal account or whatever, you can just link your account to your blog and tweet interesting tidbits of advice, blog post shares, and more. Don't forget the power you have to promote other bloggers. This gets you lots of good will and many people will share your stuff in thanks for your actions.

Big one! If you use Google Adsense, DON'T ASK FOR AD CLICKS OR REVENUE! This is the quickest way to get you banned from the service AND to lose all your income from the time you started to when they notice. Ads are designed to add to your site, and if the system detects fraudulent clicks, they don't have any problems at all deleting your account AND banning you. Appeals don't work either. Just don't risk it! It can be very tempting to want to ask, but the consequences just aren't worth it.

There are many ways to earn money than MLM companies, ads, affiliates, and the traditional ones. Don't be afraid to try something out. There's nothing wrong with avoiding mainstream traditional income sources and trying something that makes you happy. Don't lose your drive if something wonderful doesn't happen right away. It's okay. Keep working at it and you will find your tribe of people and start figuring it out. Life is full of people who are doing the same thing as'll figure it out.

If you like the series "Supernatural" and you're really bored, sad, lonely, or depressed and need something to cheer you up, look up bloopers, conferences, or parenting stories with the cast of Supernatural. I can guarantee you'll be laughing during the first video...try it! It's a great laughter source.

Diffusing essential oils while you're having a bad day can help you build motivation to continue working. I have some go-to blends I use, and you can set up your own if you want. I also have more info on how you can get a discounted collection of oils and a diffuser to start off with if you're interested, but this isn't the post to talk about that.

If you can't get your scalp to stop itching and producing tons of oil, go to the store and buy a body wash that contains colloidal oatmeal designed as itch relief and use it before you shampoo. It will kill the itching and clear out all the extra oil so that you can use shampoo more easily. I learned this one after an exercise at Ft. Jackson in their red ridiculously itch producing clay/sand. It got so painful that I tried it as a last ditch resort and it if it can solve issues during basic combat training and help me, then it might help you. Also, you can soak regular oatmeal in water and do that too, but it's not as effective because there's not much oil cutting soap in it to fix your hair.

Do your children start trying to puke every time you mention vegetables but love other foods? Try this trick. One day while they're sleeping, take whatever vegetables they swear that they hate and grind it into a paste in a blender. Pour the mix into ice cube maker and freeze and store in a bag. Add them to pretty much anything and the kids will become acclimated to the taste but not realize they're eating a hated vegetable. It's added tons of nutrition to my kids lives and I love the convenience of it.

If you have a lot of trouble finding a place to start cleaning like me, a good place to start is trash. Grab a bag and go through the entire house and throw away everything that doesn't belong in your collection of stuff. This also works for kids toys as well. If they haven't used it in forever, throw away or donate. It will teach the kids that sharing our stuff we no longer need is a good way to help contribute to protecting the environment!

So that's it for now. I hope one or more of these helps you out. I'd love to hear from you guys and learn what makes life easy for you. Send me a comment, or hop over to Twitter and contact me from there. Who knows, maybe something you say will end up on a blog post somewhere! (I'll ask first of course).

Wellness Spotlight Frankincense Essential Oil

Frankincense Essential Oil, the stuff of so many ancient remedies, religious celebrations, and a highly prized substance. Do YOU know what it is? I will be telling you a little more about this wonderful oil and how I personally use it with my family. I add a tiny amount of Frankincense pretty much everywhere, as its benefits are too many to count. This includes skincare, bathtime care, in a diffuser to help create a calming and relaxing environment, in hair care products, and even in an essential oil blend to combat body odor. Here's a brief introduction for why I love frankincense and how I use it.

Skin and Hair Care

As I mentioned in my other post, about lavender, frankincense is also very useful to combat skin and hair issues. This is a main ingredient of pretty much every single skin care product I make. As product purity and toxin free products are a huge issue for me, nearly all the products I use are either made by me or by someone I trust. So, therefore, I can add frankincense and other oils into my products and enjoy the benefits of them without any possible side effects. Both frankincense and lavender (and a few others) are good for helping the scalp stay healthy, awesome for the skin, and worth their weight in gold (in my humble opinion).

Bathtime Use

Frankincense is also good for both calming and for soothing skin care! So, if you have crazy wild children like I do, you're scrambling for anything to get them to calm down a lot, especially at night. Try lavender and frankincense in their bath water and as a refreshing soak! Bonus scalp care and skin care help, plus it helps the body relax and settle down. My kids go down immediately or pretty close to after they get out of the bath, so I'd have to say it works for us.

I put frankincence in my diffuser along with another blend called "Grounding" as a way to provide a motivating atmosphere while I'm working. As a stay home mommy with very little in the way of things to get the kids out of the house, sometimes having to stay motivated while "Cat in the Hat" and "Ninja Power Rangers" is blaring is pretty much a way of life. I diffuse those together and it helps me to continue working when normally I'd give up in a huff and not get anything done.

So, what?

To conclude, since I don't want to overwhelm with information right now, I believe that frankincense essential oil is a great oil to have. I put it in literally everything, and it works fantastically for my family. As always, please contact me either through a comment, on my Facebook page, or however you'd like and I'll get you more information! Would love to hear more from you and to learn what types of oils you'd like to try or how to get started with your own premium starter kit!

Learn how to accept your fear

This is a list of countries where my blog has been. I don't know if all are actual views by actual people, but even if I've reache...
